Mobile app development for UAE businesses and startups: iOS and Android apps for customers, field teams and products, with the backend, the admin panel, UAE payments, Arabic localisation and App Store and Google Play compliance included, because an app is the visible tenth of a system and the other nine tenths are what make it work after launch.

The UAE is one of the most app-centric consumer markets in the world: near-universal smartphone ownership, a young population, and customers who expect to order, book, pay and track from their phone in the language they prefer. It is also a market where apps fail for predictable reasons: a backend that could not handle the launch, an admin panel nobody built, a privacy label that got the app rejected, or Arabic that was bolted on at the end.

We build cross-platform in React Native or Flutter where that fits and native where the requirements demand it, decided on the facts in discovery. The backend is built on the same engineering practice as our business systems, hosted in UAE regions, integrated with the CRM, ERP and payment systems the business already runs.

We work with retail and hospitality groups building loyalty and ordering apps, real estate and property management companies building customer and field apps, healthcare providers building patient apps, logistics operators building driver and tracking apps, and startups that need a senior mobile team without hiring one.

What a UAE app build includes

iOS and Android

Cross-platform in React Native or Flutter for most apps, native Swift and Kotlin where hardware, performance or platform features demand it.

Arabic and RTL

Localised screens with proper right-to-left layout, Arabic typography and layouts that survive longer strings.

UAE payments

Telr, PayTabs, Network International, Checkout.com, Stripe UAE, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Tabby and Tamara integrated with reconciliation.

Backend and APIs

Documented APIs, databases, authentication and notifications on Node.js or Python, hosted in UAE regions.

Admin panel

The operations screens that make the app runnable day to day: content, users, orders, support and reporting.

WhatsApp and push

Notifications through the channels UAE customers actually read, with consent handled under PDPL.

Store compliance

App Store and Google Play policy, privacy labels, review handling and release management as part of delivery.

Analytics and support

Events, funnels, crash reporting and a maintenance plan for OS and store policy changes.

Typical scope and timeline

Apps we build most often

Loyalty and ordering

Own-brand apps for restaurant groups and retailers that keep regulars close and keep the delivery platform commission.

Real estate and property

Buyer, tenant and facilities apps with payments, documents, maintenance requests and communication.

Healthcare

Appointment, results and follow-up apps for clinics and groups, with health data handled carefully.

Logistics and field

Driver, delivery, inspection and workforce apps that work offline and sync when the signal returns.

Membership and community

Apps for clubs, schools and organisations with fees, events and messaging.

Startups

Product builds for UAE startups with a documented architecture the in-house team can inherit.

How we engage

Fixed-scope build

Discovery produces a specification and a fixed price for a defined release.

Product team

A named team shipping releases on your roadmap month to month.

Support and evolution

Store maintenance, OS updates, monitoring and improvements for apps we built or inherited.

Native or cross-platform, decided on the facts

Most UAE business apps are best built cross-platform in React Native or Flutter: one codebase, iOS and Android, faster releases and lower cost. Some are not: apps that depend on hardware, heavy media processing, background location for delivery tracking, or platform-specific features may justify native. We decide in discovery on the requirements rather than on a preference, and we put the reasoning in writing.

Either way the backend is built on the same engineering practice as our business systems, with APIs documented, hosting in UAE regions and integration with the systems the business already runs.

Cross-platform by default

React Native or Flutter for the majority of business and consumer apps.

Native where justified

Swift and Kotlin where hardware or performance demands it.

Backend and APIs

Node.js or Python services documented and hosted in UAE regions.

Integration

Connected to CRM, ERP, payments and WhatsApp.

Arabic is not a translation task

An app for a UAE audience is used in Arabic, English and often Hindi, Urdu or Tagalog. Right-to-left layout changes navigation, gestures, iconography, forms and every date and number field, and Arabic strings run to different lengths than English. An app designed in English and localised at the end ships with cramped text, mirrored icons that point the wrong way and layouts that break.

We design bilingual interfaces from the first wireframe, build RTL as a first-class layout, test with Arabic content on real devices, and handle Hijri dates where the business needs them.

RTL from the wireframe

Mirrored layouts designed and tested on every screen.

Arabic typography

Type chosen for legibility on a phone.

Real-device testing

Arabic and English content tested on the devices the audience owns.

Localised formats

Dates, currency, addresses and phone numbers formatted for the UAE.

Payments, delivery and the UAE customer

UAE customers expect Apple Pay and Google Pay, buy now pay later through Tabby and Tamara, cash on delivery where the category still uses it, and tracking on WhatsApp. Card acquiring runs through local gateways such as Telr, PayTabs and Network International or through Checkout.com and Stripe UAE, each with different settlement and dispute behaviour. Delivery runs through couriers whose APIs vary widely in quality.

We have integrated all of these and know where the edges are. The app reconciles payments and COD properly, records payment method against margin, and pushes tracking to the customer over WhatsApp and push.

Gateway integration

Telr, PayTabs, Network International, Checkout.com and Stripe UAE with tokenisation and 3D Secure.

Wallets and BNPL

Apple Pay, Google Pay, Tabby and Tamara with settlement reconciled.

Cash on delivery

COD orders, courier remittance and returns handled end to end.

Courier connections

Aramex, Fetchr, Quiqup and others with tracking to the customer.

Launch, the stores and the months after

Shipping to the stores has its own failure modes: policy rejections, privacy label mistakes, signing key mishaps and reviews that stall for weeks. We handle store setup, compliance and submission as part of delivery, and we keep the accounts and keys in your name. After launch, analytics and crash reporting tell us what to fix first, and a maintenance plan covers OS updates, store policy changes and the improvements that the first real users reveal.

The backend is sized for the launch peak rather than the demo, monitored so a person is paged before a customer notices, and backed up with restores that have actually been tested.

Store setup and compliance

App Store and Play accounts, policies, privacy labels and submission handled.

Analytics and crash reporting

Events, funnels and stability monitored from the first release.

Scalable hosting

Sized for peak, monitored, backed up, in UAE regions.

Improvement cadence

Releases planned from real usage data.

Mobile App Development questions

Native or cross-platform development?

Cross-platform frameworks like React Native deliver native speeds at lower development cost for most projects.

How long does it take to build an app?

An MVP takes 8 to 12 weeks. A customer app with backend and admin panel takes 12 to 20 weeks. Store review adds a week or two at the end, which we plan for.

Should we build cross-platform or native?

Cross-platform in React Native or Flutter for most business and consumer apps. Native where hardware, performance, background location or platform-specific features demand it. We decide in discovery on your requirements and put the reasoning in writing.

Do you build apps in Arabic?

Yes. Bilingual interfaces with proper right-to-left layout, Arabic typography and real-device testing with Arabic content are standard, designed from the first wireframe rather than localised at the end.

Which payment methods can the app support?

Telr, PayTabs, Network International, Checkout.com and Stripe UAE for cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay, Tabby and Tamara for buy now pay later, and cash on delivery with courier remittance reconciled.

Do you handle App Store and Google Play submission?

Yes. Store accounts, policy compliance, privacy labels, signing and submission are part of delivery, with accounts and keys in your name.

Do you handle PDPL for apps?

Yes. Consent, data minimisation, retention and subject rights are designed into the app and backend, hosting is in UAE regions, and the store privacy declarations are completed accurately.

Who owns the app?

You do. Source code, store accounts, signing keys, backend and documentation are handed over in your name.

Can you take over an app built by another team?

Yes, after an assessment of the code, backend and store accounts. We say honestly what we find and take it on under a support agreement if it is workable.

Can the app work offline?

Yes. Offline-first design with local storage and sync is standard for field, delivery and workforce apps, and available for customer apps where it matters, such as in basements, warehouses and areas with poor coverage.

How quickly can you start?

Discovery can usually begin within two weeks of agreement, and an MVP is typically in the stores eight to twelve weeks after discovery ends.
